Mr Tsheole is a seasoned Financial Markets expert with a cumulative experience of 15 years having worked for Bank of Botswana and Botswana Stock Exchange.
Mr Tsheole holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Single Major Economics) from the University of Botswana and a Master of Commerce (MComm) in Financial Markets from Rhodes University (RSA). Further, he holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town (RSA). He has also completed several financial markets programmes as well as a Leadership Development Programme at the University of Stellenbosch Business School (RSA).
Mr Tsheole has extensive financial markets experience in Capital Markets, Forex, Structured Products and the Financial Market Regulation. He was appointed CEO of the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) in January 2016 following a short stint as Deputy CEO at BSE since February 2014. His career at BSE began in February 2007 when he was appointed Product Development Manager.
Mr Tsheole is a firm believer in the development of the financial market in Botswana and Africa, as well as their importance to economic growth and stability. It is against this backdrop that he has led initiatives to increase activity in the financial market in Botswana.
Sethebe Manake is a business owner, standing at the helm of Botswana’s first Property Research and Consulting Firm. She has extensive experience in the real estate industry particularly with pension fund portfolios, listed property portfolios, consortiums, joint ventures and privately owned portfolios. Her last corporate role was Chief Executive Officer of listed property company Letlole La Rona, before being offered a regional Asset Management position at Stanlib South Africa. Sethebe holds a Bachelor of Science in Property Studies from the University of Cape Town and a Master of Science in Strategic Management from the University of Derby and Botswana Accountancy College.
Sandy Kelly began his career in the construction, property development and property finance industry in South Africa. He moved to Botswana in 1988 to “open the doors” for Time Projects Botswana. He was instrumental in developing PrimeTime’s initial portfolio and its successful listing on the BSE in 2007. Since then, as managing director of Time Projects and PrimeTime he has led the team that has built the company’s investment properties from an initial 13 to 26 today including the drive into Zambia.
Ramachandran Ottappathu is the Director & Chief Executive Officer, Choppies Enterprises Ltd, the largest retail chain in Southern African market. He is highly experienced in Strategic Planning & Execution, Budget Planning, Turnaround Management Operational & Financial Risk. Prior to joining Choppies, Ramachandran was the Financial Manager at Apollo Tyres Ltd, India. He is also a Promoter and 50% shareholder in the Far Property Company Ltd which holds a property portfolio of more than $120 million. Ramachandran is a fellow member of the internationally accredited institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Certified SAP consultant.
Geri Wessels gained valuable experience by conducting market research in sub-Saharan Africa as a hospitality analyst. She joined Hilton in June 2013 as part of the development team to assist in realizing the growing number of opportunities on the African continent. Geri is responsible for securing exciting new projects in the SADC region. Prior to her return to South Africa, Geri was based in the United Arab Emirates for five years, focusing on development in the Middle East and North Africa hotel markets.
Aged 54, Civil Engineer, Masters in Business Management and Transport, AMP (Harvard Business School), IEP (INSEAD), Alumni Association (EPFL, INSEAD, HBS). As Chief Executive Officer of the Realestate Group, he has been involved in property development and investments for over 26 years in Africa. In 1992 he set up RDC Properties Limited, the first Botswana Listed Property company. Has been awarded the Order of Merit by The King of Spain. He is the Honorary Consul of Italy and Spain in Botswana and actively involved in community works as a Paul Harris Fellow
Outule Bale was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Khumo Property Asset Management in 2012. He is responsible for driving the business and property asset management and development. Outule gained his initial experience in property surveying and estate management with knight Frank Botswana. He has extensive experience in analysis, appraisal, acquisition, sale and management across the traditional areas of property valuations, management, Investment, commercial agency, strategic management of property facilities and wealth creation. Outule holds a BSc (Hons) Urban Property Surveying, a MSc Strategic Management and a MREIB (44 years).
Romano is the Group CEO at MLC. He is a registered Professional Quantity Surveyor with 32 years post-qualification experience as a cost management consultant within the construction industry. After joining MLC in 1992, he has been responsible for the Kwazulu-Natal office. He has served on the MLC Management Exco for several years. Romano’s focus as the Group CEO will centre around sustaining and expanding the business, nurturing relationships with existing clients, fostering new business relationship opportunities, overseeing a number of major projects, and ensuring that the MLC ethos of delivering an exceptional quality of service with personalised expertise, is maintained internationally.
Mr Moalafi is currently the Director in the Department of Town and Regional Planning. He holds a BSc in Urban and Regional Planning (UB) and an MA in Urban Design, Oxford Brookes. He has been a physical planner in government, within various Local Authorities (Southern District Council, Goodhope Sub District Council, Ghanzi District Council, Lobatse Town Council) rising through the ranks from assistant Physical Planner to Senior Physical Planner during the years 1997- 2006. Prion to this, he was lecturing in Department of Architecture and planning at the University of Botswana. He then served Botswana Housing Corporation for 4 years as the Land Acquisition Manager.
Louis joined Actis in 2009 with a focus investments in Sub-Saharan Africa. He has worked across multiple asset classes and transaction types including LBO’s, growth capital deals, restructurings and greenfield developments. Louis comes from a retail and property development background and is currently leading Actis’s real estate efforts in the SADC region including in the light industrial space.
Selwyn Blieden is a Principal at Barclays Africa and leads the bank’s commercial property finance business in Africa (ex-South Africa). Prior to taking on this role, he was a founding member of the RMB Westport team, leading structuring and corporate management for RMB Westport’s developments in Nigeria. Previously, he co-founded and managed Rand Merchant Bank’s Opportunities in Global Real Estate portfolio. Before joining Rand Merchant Bank, Selwyn was a consultant in the Johannesburg office of McKinsey & Company, serving clients in several African jurisdictions. Selwyn is a CFA Charterholder and holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge.
Mr. Bashi Gaetsaloe is the Managing Director and Director at Botswana Development Corporation Limited. Prior to joining BDC he was the Country Managing Director at Accenture Botswana. Bashi has held CEO positions in various companies. He has also been the Chief Executive Officer of two global entities KPMG Consulting and most recently Accenture Botswana. He was appointed Head of Management Consulting for the Public Sector in South Africa. Bashi has broad experience working across various sectors covering organisational transformation, business start-ups and business turn-around, change management and financial management. Mr. Gaetsaloe holds an MA in Economics from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Connecticut College, New London.
Gosego January is currently the CEO of the Debswana Pension Fund (DPF). Prior to this she worked at Debswana Diamond Company where she held various key Managerial positions. Gosego is a Chartered Management Accountant with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) UK, she also holds a Diploma in Business Administration-Accounting from the Cambrian College of Applied Arts and Technology. Gosego has served as Director on the Board of PEO Venture Capital Fund (Pty) Ltd. She is currently a Member of the Audit & Finance Committee for Sechaba Holdings and of the Advisory Board at Vantage Capital Investment.
