I have 19 years of post-graduate experience in the built environment working with both design and implementation of projects. I qualified in Architecture in Glasgow, Scotland. In 2006, I established Moralo Designs, an Architectural Practice which now offers Urban Design, Architectural Design, Landscape Design, Interior Design and Project Management services. My professional experience is also within contractual matters and project management of building projects as well as assessments of the financial viability of projects. I also have extensive work experience from Botswana, South Africa, Norway, South Sudan and Tanzania and flourish with an international work environment. I am registered with 4 professional bodies and serve as Chairperson of the Architect’s Registration Council of Botswana and as Deputy Chairperson of the BHC Board. I am also a Council Member for the Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA) as Vice President Africa Region and the Chair of CAA Validation.
Luc Hedley Tseung-Sum-Foi joined Grit in May 2017 as a Junior Investment Manager and is now an Investment Manager responsible for acquisitions in SADC (excluding Mozambique). Luc has been working on various hospitality deals across Africa for the Group, as well as ongoing transactions in Botswana and Mauritius. He was also involved in the LSE Listing Project team and provides assistance on the investor side of the business with market and peer analysis, as well as investor roadshows. Before joining Grit, Luc was an analyst and assistant portfolio manager for 3 years at IPRO Fund Management in Mauritius, and was responsible for managing an African fixed income fund and macroeconomic analysis for the Group.
Luc holds a BSc Honours, Economics from the University of Warwick and has started his CFA qualifications.
Gosego January is currently the CEO of the Debswana Pension Fund (DPF). Prior to this she worked at Debswana Diamond Company where she held various key Managerial positions. Gosego is a Chartered Management Accountant with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) UK, she also holds a Diploma in Business Administration-Accounting from the Cambrian College of Applied Arts and Technology. Gosego has served as Director on the Board of PEO Venture Capital Fund (Pty) Ltd. She is currently a Member of the Audit & Finance Committee for Sechaba Holdings and of the Advisory Board at Vantage Capital Investment.
Tapologo joined Allan Gray in 2004. He is the Portfolio Manager of Allan Gray Botswana and his responsibilities include researching Botswana capital markets and selecting suitable offshore products to ensure that Allan Gray optimally manages its clients’ portfolios. In January 2011 he was appointed Managing Director of Allan Gray’s operations in Namibia and Swaziland until 2014. Tapologo was the Managing Director of Allan Gray Botswana from 2007 to 2017. In 2016, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Allan Gray Kenya and Head of Allan Gray’s businesses outside South Africa in 2018.
Prior to joining Allan Gray, Tapologo worked at Grant Thornton in their Cape Town office. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the Universities of Cape Town and Natal, is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst. Tapologo is also a Fellow Certified Public Accountant (FCPA).
Sandy Kelly began his career in the construction, property development and property finance industry in South Africa. He moved to Botswana in 1988 to “open the doors” for Time Projects Botswana. He was instrumental in developing PrimeTime’s initial portfolio and its successful listing on the BSE in 2007. Since then, as managing director of Time Projects and PrimeTime he has led the team that has built the company’s investment properties from an initial 13 to 26 today including the drive into Zambia.
Sethebe Manake is a business owner, standing at the helm of Botswana’s first Property Research and Consulting Firm. She has extensive experience in the real estate industry particularly with pension fund portfolios, listed property portfolios, consortiums, joint ventures and privately owned portfolios. Her last corporate role was Chief Executive Officer of listed property company Letlole La Rona, before being offered a regional Asset Management position at Stanlib South Africa. Sethebe holds a Bachelor of Science in Property Studies from the University of Cape Town and a Master of Science in Strategic Management from the University of Derby and Botswana Accountancy College.
Bakang is the Founder & Managing Director of Leru Property Group(100% citizen owned) real estate company providing services in property developments, portfoliomanagement, auctions, valuations. Estate agency and facilities management with over 10 years’ experience in Real Estate Developments and Investments.He started his career at RMB Properties now Eris Property Group before joining Khumo PAM. He graduated from UCT in 2008 (BSc Property Studies)and Auctioneering diploma (2016). He is Board member of Real Estate Institute of Botswana, Trustee for Gaborone City Development Trust, board member of Botswana Green Building Council, Independent Grading Accessor (BTO) and was brand ambassador for PPC Bots(2018).He is 2015 Mandela Washington Fellowfrom (Uni of Nevada, Reno)
Graham Kusano is a Senior Development Asset Manager at IHS responsible for managing some of the fund’s investments in developmental assets. Prior to joining IHS Graham headed up the Liberty Group Property Development Team responsible for developing retail, hotel, commercial and hospital assets for the Groups R30bn portfolio and 3rd party clients on the continent. The team was responsible for deal origination right down to delivery. He was at Liberty for over 6 years. He has also worked in other facets of the property industry which include property management and finance. He holds a Bachelor of Social Science Degree from the University of Cape Town.
Maje is the co-founder of Apex Properties, he has nearly 20 years experience in the real estate sector with a major focus on valuation and advisory services. He has helped grow Apex into a reputable property consulting outfit. He is the current president of the Real Estate Institute of Botswana and a former board member of REAC. In his current position at REIB he is tasked with transforming it into a modern real estate advocacy body of the twenty-first century.
Moatlhodi is the Chief Economist of First National Bank Botswana and recently completed secondment at RMB Global Markets – Research & Economics in South Africa, focusing on macro and financial markets research for Sub-Saharan Africa.
He joined FNB Botswana in 2014 from the University of Botswana where he worked as a lecturer in finance. He has previously worked at the University of Essex, UK and at Stanbic Bank in risk management, as well as at the Botswana Stock Exchange in product development.
Moatlhodi sits on the University of Botswana Council as well the University’s audit committee. He holds an MSc in Finance & Investment from the University of Essex.
Geri Wessels gained valuable experience by conducting market research in sub-Saharan Africa as a hospitality analyst. She joined Hilton in June 2013 as part of the development team to assist in realizing the growing number of opportunities on the African continent. Geri is responsible for securing exciting new projects in the SADC region. Prior to her return to South Africa, Geri was based in the United Arab Emirates for five years, focusing on development in the Middle East and North Africa hotel markets.
Chilufya Lombe is a mechanical engineer that has extensive experience in both performance and accreditation modelling for sustainability projects and performed energy modelling for the first Green Star rated office and retail buildings in South Africa. With a background in traditional mechanical design, Chilufya has a special interest in detailed modelling of building systems to optimise energy usage. Chilufya is also a member of the Green Building Council of South Africa’s education faculty and a member of their project assessment panel. With experience in both Green Star project management and all the required accreditation modelling Chilufya often performs a dual function on projects.
Patrick is Account Director and SADC Hub Lead in the Occupier Services Division. The role entails ensuring that client’s business strategy is met / enhanced through optimization of real
estate. This could be in the form of Consultancy, Strategic Advisory, Market Research, Transaction Management (acquisitions, disposals, consolidations, re-gears, etc…) Patrick Katabua is French and English speaking, and has over 10 years of Real Estate Experience covering African Markets. Prior to joining Broll, Patrick was an Account Director at Chushman and Wakefield Excellerate in the Africa Division, and also assumed the role of Lead for Francophone Territories.
Patrick has provided value to key clients including Standard Chartered Bank, Unilever, Novartis, US Embassy, China Communications Construction Company, to name a few. He previously worked in the banking sector for 10 years, as Senior Deal Maker focusing on Africa Commercial Property Finance for various Banks in Africa (ABSA, Standard Bank, FNB).
Aged 56, Civil Engineer, Masters in Business Management and Transport, AMP (Harvard Business School), IEP (INSEAD), Alumni Association (EPFL, INSEAD, HBS). As Chief Executive Officer of the Realestate Group, he has been involved in property development and investments for over 29 years. Has been awarded the Order of Merit by The King Spain (for his role as Honorary Consul of Spain) and the Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy by the President. He is the Honorary Consul of Italy in Botswana and actively involved in community works as a Paul Harris Fellow.
Jacopo is the Chief Executive Officer of RDC Properties limited for Botswana Operations. Since joining, Jacopo has been involved in investment, construction, property and asset management and leading the Steering and Operational Committees of the Group as well as international Developments. He holds a Civil Engineering Masters degree. His career started in Accenture, the Strategy and Management Consulting Firm. This engagement enabled him to get wide exposure to large and complex corporate environments both in EU and US. Few years later he joined the family construction company in Italy. This work experience, both technical and managerial, was conducive to his appointment as Group General Manager for the Real estate Group Companies in 2009.
During the 16 years he spent with the Botswana Development Corporation (BDC), he rose through the ranks, becoming manager of its Property Development and Management Divisions. He
overlooked a diversified portfolio with both sectoral and geographic spread across Botswana. He was then promoted to the position of General Manager, Business Development, overseeing all business development, investment and management activities of the BDC. In 2003, Victor joined Bifm to head its strategy and development activities for the unlisted portfolio. He was appointed as CEO in January 2005. He resigned in 2011 to pursue his business interests through his company – Haighs Investments (Pty) Ltd – which forms part of Messidor
Investments (Pty) Ltd. The latter has a mandate with BPOPF for Property Asset Management services. Victor holds a Bachelor of Commerce (UB), MSc Management (Arthur D. Little) and took part in a Program on Investment Appraisal & Management (Harvard).
Kwabena is an Investment Analyst at Kgori Capital. He started his career at Ernst and Young Botswana where he spent 3 years performing various roles before becoming an Audit Senior in 2011. He then joined Letshego Financial Holdings Limited, as Financial Accountant responsible for Uganda. He obtained a Bachelor of Accountancy from University of Botswana, an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
Jazzelle Kebakile’s PR experience was born in Cape Town, South Africa where she took a 3 year course in PR at Cape Peninsula University of Technology. She later worked for espAFRIKA and The Big Issue SA. In Botswana, she is associated with Incepta Communications and has previously served with OP Advertising, Hotwire PRC, Maru A Pula School and TBWA/Medcom’s PR functions. Ms Kebakile is also a renowned MC and voiceover artist born and based in Botswana. She is an engaging communicator that is celebrated for her delightful personality on stage and behind the mic. Mr Peter Moalafi is a Town Planner and Urban Designer, based in Gaborone, Botswana who specialises in sustainable urban designs. Mr Peter Moalafi has over 20 years industry experience covering multiple portfolio across Local Authorities (4- Councils), Private Sector (BCS, UH), Academia (University of Botswana), Parastatal (Botswana Housing Corporation) and Central Government (Department of Town and Country Planning-DTCP).
In 2016 he founded Urban Heights (Wisecom) office for consultancy, advocacy planning, research, urban design and communication in sustainable urban and regional planning. His major achievements include vast development schemes (54), and coordinating to fruition, the Botswana National Spatial Plan 2036 when He was the Director, DTCP, completed in 2018. He presented the NSP, 36 to the UN-HABITAT, Nairobi, Kenya, in 2017 evoking lots of member interest and accolades.
I am a real estate professional with over 13 years’ experience in managing and developing property portfolios in various segments (Industrial, Retail, Hospitality, Residential and Office). I joined RDC Properties in 2013 as the Botswana Chief operating Officer steering the group’s daily operations and successfully executing development projects such as the ICC Flats, Gaborone West Warehouses, Masa Serviced apartments etc. Prior to joining the Botswana Team, I was responsible for managing and growing the group’s portfolio in Nigeria which contributed to my vast hands on experience in the Botswana and Nigeria environments.

He holds a Bsc (Hons) Quantity Surveying degree and has over 18 years’ experience working in Botswana and UK as a quantity surveyor and project manager. He has been providing technical due diligence to local banks and institutions in Botswana for the past 8 years. His expertise is cost planning, sustainable construction, benchmarking & cost modelling, project monitoring and providing solutions for digitizing processes in the construction industry.

Neltah is a real estate professional with over 7 years experience in the Botswana industry. Her career started with RDC Properties under its property division, Property and Asset Management, where she was part of the project development team of the iconic Masa Centre. She later joined Knight Frank and Exponential Investments heading the management of prominent developments in the CBD before she founded her real estate company, Tempest Gold.
Neltah considers herself a ‘multi-potentialite’ with various passions centred around real estate. She is currently studying towards a Doctorate in Real Estate through the University of Witwatersrand. Currently, she sits on the board of the Real Estate Institute of Botswana as the Secretary General. Her company, Tempest Gold, offers real estate services with a strong
interest in proptech. The company’s listing app, had been selected as one of Demo Africa’s 2018 Top 30 start ups in Africa as well as being selected as one of 1250 African entrepreneurs for the prestigious Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneur Programme in the same year.
